The Viet Vegan

As a queer, woman of color, I’ve had the opportunity to learn from fellow intersectional vegans about how our words impact our efforts for vegan advocacy. After 7 years of being a part of the vegan movement and vegetarian organizations in Toronto and the surrounding areas, I’ve seen first-hand at how exclusionary and alienating vegan advocacy can be. The Viet Vegan YouTube channel has been my outlet to navigate the vegan space both online and in real life as a queer person of color and try to be as inclusive as possible in my advocacy.
